With so many cozy places to read at The Ballentine—such as by the fireplace in our lobby, on the couch in one of our solariums, or out on a garden bench—its no wonder that

reading is a popular pastime with our residents.

The Ballentine has a neat little library stocked with popular books and novels. There is even a text magnifier device for residents that may need it.
For residents seeking an even larger selection, the Norfolk Public Library Bookmobile makes a stop at The Ballentine every other Thursday. Residents can check out and return library books using this service. Also, volunteers come in twice a week to read to residents in our activity room.
